DilSagar |
| |
Dil Sagar has several
years of Kalari training and has won the Indian national championship
in it 5 times. An accomplished contemporary dancer, he has trained
both at the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts in Bangalore
as well as in London. He has performed throughout India, UK
and Portugal and featured in several productions with Attakkalari.
He has also worked with Imlata Dance Company (UK). |

Deepak K.S |
| |
Deepak comes into contemporary
dance through the cinematic movement style which is very popular
in India. He is now a senior dancer with Attakkalari. He has
had a thorough exposure to Capoeira, Ballet and Body Conditioning
and select training in Bharatanatyam, Kalaripayettu, Chaau,
Yoga and other Indian physical traditions. He has been a theatre
performer and has benefited from light and choreography workshops
conducted by international facilitators at Attakkalari. |

Mirra |
| |
Mirra is an agile and
sinuous dancer with a flexible body moulded by the traditional
art of Yoga. She is furthering her training in Contemporary
dance and choreography. Her most recent short piece, choreographed
by herself and Veena, called Sakhi (“Friend”) has
been very well received in Bangalore. |

Hema Bharathy |
| |
Hema Bharathy is a
dancer who has been trained in the classical dance forms of
Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi from Sunanda Devi and Vyjayanthi
for 10 years. She did her Ranga Pravesham public initiation
in 2000 and is an experienced performer at several prestigious
festivals all over India. Hema is at present training in Contemporary
dance with Attakkalari. |

Rohini |
| |
Rohini has completed
her Masters in Bharatanatyam from Bangalore University. Presently,
she continues to train in Contemporary dance and Kalari. |

| 6. |
Rakesh M.P.S |
| |
Has trained in martial
arts, cinematic dance and contemporary dance. He was a member
of a popular dance troupe in Calicut which performed all over
Kerala between 2000 and 2003 before joining Attakkalari to train
in contemporary dance. Apart from performing, Rakesh is also
an accomplished teacher of school children in the basics of
contemporary dance. |

Satyajit Ravindranath |
| |
Satyajit learned Bharatanatyam
in the Kalakshetra style from his mother and he has a well developed
background in light classical music. His initiation into dance
has been through cinematic dance. He has performed all over
Kerala in this medium as part of Kala Bhavan (Cochin) and Srishti
(Cochin) in 2002-2004 before joined Attakkalari to train as
a contemporary dancer. |

Leji Paul |
| |
Leji is trained in
the classical tradition in Kerala where she learned Bharatanatyam
and Kuchupudi from Inaz and Mohiniattam from Kalamandalam Geeta.
She has also had some exposure to folk dance before she was
selected for her movement language to join Attakkalari as a
junior dancer for training in contemporary dance. |

Shobhitha Yeluri |
| |
Shobhitha has a movement
language which draws from her extensive training in gymnastics
and athletics accompanied by ballet, kathak and bharatanatyam
followed by 4 years at the Freeman School of dance. She received
her training in Kalari and contemporary dance at Attakkalari. |

Hema Sundari |
| |
Hema has trained in
Bharatanatyam for 5 years and in Kuchupudi under Vyjyanthi Kasi
for 8 years before she passed the Junior examination in both
forms under the Karnataka Board. She has participated in many
dance festivals all over India and was selected in an audition
to join Attakkalari for training in contemporary dance. |

Sowmya Jaganmurthy |
| |
Sowmya danced with
Bangalore based “Shiva’s” in the freestyle
genre in 2003. She has acted in productions by the Indian People’s
Theatre Association (IPTA). She is now receiving training in
Kalari and contemporary at Attakkalari. She is also training
in Vocal Karnatik Music. |
